Not that that was a bad thing...

I hope things get better for you on the next trip.Elliottnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32545265.post-55589309039004495142014-07-31T23:28:19.289-07:002014-07-31T23:28:19.289-07:00Argh! Maybe all Jasons have work-Jason personas! ...Argh! Maybe all Jasons have work-Jason personas! ARGH! ;) And, yeah, I hope we get to go on a non-work based trip some time too :)

Yes, you're right Elliott, I just for some reason was all I CAN'T TALK ABOUT IT!!! *shrug* And I feel like I know what "real" life with Jason is like... I told him once I feel like I got gypped out of a honeymoon phase ;) But yeah, nods.. Like a sanity check but without the walk of shame (so to speak)? So have at it with the venting and whatever else you feel like writing.

First travels with a new person are always stressful...or so I've been told...I've only had one girlfriend and she's my wife, so no personal experience. I remember the first trip with my wife...three little people along (her kids, and mine now too), to visit her brother and then her mom all while I was in the middle of the interview process for a new job (which I got)...and we still got married.

Please don't take this as anything other than an observation...as an outsider, I have to wonder if this trip and the stress it caused is an indication of what "real" life might be like with work and other distractions. It's hard to tell from this side only knowing what you write. Something to consider (although you seem smarter than the average bear, so I'm sure you are)...Elliottnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32545265.post-44176355978127058172014-07-31T08:48:00.118-07:002014-07-31T08:48:00.118-07:00Pretty sure you can vent here, and we'll liste...Pretty sure you can vent here, and we'll listen/read.

Mostly it sounds like this was probably not the ideal 'first trip' situation, with the combination of time pressure and work-Jason (which is funny, because I have a work-Jason persona as well) creating a perfect little storm of stress. But it also sounds like in the midst of the negative, there was some positive.

Which makes me wonder if a trip without the extra stressors involved might go a bit better. And I hope you get to find out.Jason Langloishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02507550527211520786noreply@blogger.com
