To the Guy Trying to Pick Me Up in the Hotel Elevator in Regina*

Dude,

"You sure clean up nice" is not going to cut it as a pick up line.

Seriously now. Get in the game.

* Don't panic y'all, I didn't say what you thought I said. I said REgina. Regina.

"You sure clean up nice"???

What the heck does that mean? Are you at another of those spy conferences in Regina? Or are you just a lover of -24°C?

Wow that is a lot of questions. I'm done now. :)

You mean I have to come up with another line now? Dang.

It's a lot harder than you'd think. :)

I guess there's the fall back...
"Hi, how's it going?"

bah.. i don't worry or stress about those kind of things... maybe that's why I could start a blog called "Advice from a Single Guy".

You can't assume everyone is a creep. Maybe he meant to say "I noticed your kempt appearance in retrospect to your previous endeavour and was wondering about the ramification of the effects of water-soil mixture on the dermatological system" because he mistaken you for a mud-wrestler at the local "Monty" pub.

Likalia: I think it means that when I put on fancy, purty clothes, I look all nice like. And maybe I was at a spy conference...and maybe I wasn't. Can't tell you, would have to kill you! ; ) I've never been in -24.... I wonder if I'd like it or if I'd just feel really, really.... really cold. : )

Jordan: I'm not saying you *have* to come up with another pick up line.. just that that one automatically makes the girl wonder if she was looking ugly the last time she saw this guy. (heh) I always think "Hi, how's it going" works just fine. ; )

And yeah, maybe you should start up that website, so that all us single gals can figure out what the heck y'all are thinking up in those their heads of yours!!!

ynbf: True enough. Maybe I did, indeed resemble the mud or jello wrestlers he had seen earlier and he was indeed meaning to point out that I had done a good job cleaning those substances off of my clothing.

hee!

I didn't think he was a creep. Just a bit much. : )
