Damn it Feels Good to Be a Gangsta*

Sometimes a good movie is made great by its music.

Sometimes the music is the movie.

Sometimes my favourite part of a tv show is the music it introduces me to. I can thank The OC for showing me some stunning tunes. And Friday Night Lights? Not just cute guys, but a perfect theme song. One of the best theme song / intro combos ever. It'll break your heart.

Explosions in the Sky - Your Hand in Mine

What's a movie you love for its music?

*Name dat movie!

The Office

I really should watch that movie again, it has been a LONG time. :)

As for movies I love for their music, I don't know if I could pick just one. Though nerdy as it may be I've always loved the soundtrack to Hackers (ok and Johnny Lee Miller).

Bunny, it totally is! And man, oh man, wouldn't I love to take a bat to some machines sometimes : )

Nice tune V.

As odd as this is going to sound the most memorable music I've enjoyed from a flick was Meet Joe Black... the piano and violin duet was soft and slow... a bit like me really! LOL

I loved that movie Ryan, but don't remember the piece. I'll have to give it another listen : )

Silly you!

Both Playing by Heart and Garden State are two movies and soundtracks I love. I am not sure which I loved first the movie or the soundtrack.

And OMG ... love Explosions in the sky. Do you know A song for the Fathers. Great Tune.

Playing by Heart? Why do I not know this movie? Must rent it?
I don't know A song for the Fathers, but I'll go give it a listen : )

Almost Famous. The movie made by Cameron Crowe about the young music journalist who goes on tour with a band... some of the most amazing music in a movie.

Elizabethtown is fantastic too - again, it's a Cameron Crowe movie. He used to write for Rolling Stone of course.

Hi!
Take a listen to Star Wars music; John Williams is a great musician. He has several movies where he has composed and also listen to Enio Morricone in "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly".
Thanks. Bye and have a nice weekend.

Bonovox, John Williams is amazing! Awesome recommendations : )

Jonathan, I love Almost Famous, I own it! Cameron Crowe uses the best music!

Soundtracks I own and love;
-The Piano
-The Red Violin
-Koyaanisqatsi

The Royal Tenenbaums also has an awesome soundtrack but I think I have all the music from it via other albums. ;)

And any movies featuring the music of Vangelis.

I MUST see Almost Famous!

The Kiss- mediocre movie, but great soundtrack! And, not a movie, but the Grey's Anatomy soundtracks (atleast the first two) are amazing.

I'm totally with you on Grey's Anatomy Kelly. I've been catching up on DVD and keep having to pause to look up the song on the on line episode guides!

The Kiss, eh? K. I'll give it a watch..er.. listen : )
