Oh Yeah.

I see people packing and moving on end of the month weekends fairly often, but this weekend I saw a ton of trucks packed with mattresses and boxes and chairs.

And I wondered, for a while, why so many people were using the long weekend to move.

And then I remembered.

It's September (already?)

And I live in Victoria.

And we're a University town.

And school starts up again soon. Ahhhh University days. . . . I remember you well. (Well, I remember some of you, anyway)

And that's why there are so many people moving this weekend.

I'm so smart to figure stuff out like this, you know.

Even worse is the Safeway by my parents house - full of SFU students. But of course it took me a few moments to realize what had happened to spike the number of 20 year old males shopping for food. It's their semesterly stock up on provisions.

It all makes me feel old though - it wasn't that long ago when I was getting ready for university, or was it?

Hi,

Very nice blog you have here. Found your blog after searching information for relationships. Thanks for the great info!

My name is Irene and I’m involved in an online site called ‘A woman’s mind at http://awmtv.com which provides videos relating to relationship advice as well as forums, etc.
I was hoping that you would have a minute to check out the site and perhaps if you liked what you saw… put a link on your blog?

I may be going out on a limb by asking you for promotional help through your blog, but I hope you find awmtv.com to be as news worthy/helpful as I perceive it to be. There’s still a lot of new things to come up on it, but hope you like what you see!

Thanks for your time :)

Best,
Irene

Can't get anything by you, V! ;)

It's a bit more obvious in my neighbourhood since I live close to UVic. Suddenly, crowds and crowds of students. EVERYWHERE. And...right now, they have LOTS of free time! ;(

Jenn, were they all buying Mac and Cheese and... white bread? heh. And, yeah, I swear I was just in University yesterday!!!

Laura, I know, I'm SO smrt!

Good luck with things Irene, but I'm not really a big linker. Thanks though.

Yvonne, you can't get much by me, nope! Heh. And yeah, I guess they do have lots of free time at the moment, eh? Hmmm... maybe they should come and give me footrubs! ;)

In our part of the world we tried to buy some Gym shoes for our eldest who goes back to school today.

Guess what - rocket scientist skills required here - there are no gym shoes left in the entire damn country.

I miss my University days this time of year...the buying of sweatpants knowing full well that they'll be appropriate daily wear until spring...

Uh oh Jonathan. She's not going to have to go barefoot is she? ;)

Alexandreena, that's true. If only these days could be as comfy!
