I was woken up around 5am the other morning by feeling, suddenly it seemed, too warm.
This used to happen to me, years ago, in the middle of the night. It's something my old (former, not aged) acupuncturist used to treat me for... I don't know that TCM term for it but like "heat that wakes you up at night and needs dissipated." But it hasn't happened in ages.
And in all honesty, it could be an outside heat thing rather than a me/internal heat thing... like I've had windows more open and blankets down again these last few nights so maybe it was, I dunno, warm out at 5am for some reason?
Anyway, I thought about getting up but knew my body wouldn't love that so I just threw off all blankets for a while, debated opening windows more but wanted to stay as sleepy as possible, so stayed half asleep and then pulled up one comforter and managed to sleep a few more hours.
"Is it hormones?" I hear some of you ask? Meh, probably, possibly, could be, dunno. Could be a few things really, including, most likely, room temperature being just a tad too warm due to cloud cover and a light sleep cycle "waking" me. Dunno.
Just, yeah, that was an odd one. Especially for what is technically supposed to be Winter.
OH WAIT! It's 2/2/2222! HAPPY TWOOOOOOOSDAY!!!! (on a Wednesday, but just you wait until later this month!)

Not hormones...or if it is, I'm in trouble. LOL
This happens to me too. I chalk it up to being a furnace and my body heat getting trapped under the duvet and then I overheat. Nothing throwing the blanket off for a bit doesn't take care of for me. But it sucks coming out of a nice sleep cuz of heat in the dead of winter.
Oh, I never thought of the whole "creating a little oven" aspect! And yeah, throwing off blanket for a while works (but steals away the good sleeps!) ;)
