The Spring Temperature (And Light) Update You Didn't Ask For!

Spring she has sprung and although here in Victoria we tend to get an "earlier" vision of Spring than many, it still feels like it's just starting this year.  We've had the early plum tree blossoms (call them cherry, they look the same and no one minds too much) and the usual late Winter flowers (snow drops, crocus, hellebore, etc.)  Now trees are starting to show shoots, the cherry blossoms are starting to turn.  Weather has gotten milder, but gently and gradually so.

My radiator is still slightly on, and even then there have been a couple of quiet mornings where I've thought about turning it up.  I had a hot water bottle in use over the weekend, feetsies being cold and all.  At night, I'm still playing with windows.  Both fully open has been a bit much on all than a few odd nights.  And on a night or two here or there I've had to wake up and pull them both mainly closed.  I can't remember the last time I've used all the blankets but I'm sure there was one night recently.  Now the game comes of "do I get rid of the winter blankets or just keep them at the foot of my bed?"  combined with "how open do I have my bedroom windows?"

I'm happy to not yet be in the hot season, I'm trying to avoid stressing about that for as long as possible, but the awfulness of last year hasn't disappeared from memory.

I haven't been out for walks as much this year (how are we this many months in to a year that just started yesterday?) as my focus in January was on 30 days of yoga and I didn't manage to do both a yoga video and a walk... and the one day I did is when I injured/pulled/ something and was out of commission for a few days, so I'm perhaps leery.  I'd like to put walks back into my routine as yoga isn't quite the same level of cardio (although it has its moments!)

The evenings are still shockingly and surprisingly light and I'm still finding myself a little confused by when dinner is and how late it is when it's still *this* light out.  So I'm still noticing the time change, even all these weeks later.  (How many weeks later is it anyway... three?  Five?)

So it's cool.  But not freezing.  Flowers and trees are doing their things.  It's light out pretty late these days.  I still am figuring out temperature in bed at night.

It's April.  Somehow.
