Duh (In Retrospect)

I couldn't fall asleep last night because there was a rumbling as I was trying to do so and my brain being my brain kept trying to figure out what it was.  Thunder?  A neighbour watching an action movie?  Every time I thought it was done (cuz movie?) it would happen again so I ended up putting in one earplug and then two to fall asleep.

Woke up this morning and checked the local subreddit and someone asked the question I knew would be asked and the answer was "fireworks across the border for the fourth of July".

Ooooooh right.

I guess the clouds muffled the sound somewhat but yeah, funny I didn't even think of that, and funny that a bunch of us noticed and wondered and were a little concerned.  (I even wondered this morning if it was the jets being scrambled....sigh)
