Welp

Doctor prescribed antibiotics (not my fave, not thrilled about it) and antihistamine (to "dry up" the congestion) and stopping cold meds (apparently not supposed to be on them for more than five days, oops) and said there's a lot going around but didn't give a specific diagnosis, not that I particularly asked.

Said if things don't clear up in a couple of days we'll do an inhaler.  Said that the only hard evidence of cough suppressant is with codeine (which I don't react well to anyway) so there you go. 

Strange though to have someone be like "yeah you're pretty sick" when I'm like "dude I'm SO much better than a week ago!" like was I sicker than I thought?  I mean I knew I was sick but... anyway.

What a strange week it's been.  Feels like it's been over a decade since I've had this kind of ill, although I know I've had some colds and things here and there... and yes, usually when I get very stressed and upset by the state of the world.  Sigh.
