I am pretty sure there is a science-y reason to explain this but I'm still going to wonder about it.
Because why is it that I can be trying to fall asleep at night and struggle with that but then if my alarm isn't set I can keep sleeping in the morning despite having woken up enough to know it's morning? I mean a lot of non alarm mornings, if I don't need to pee, I will actually have to force myself out of bed so I don't just keep sleeping and sleeping! (Which if you've been here long enough you know I can sleep laaaaaate and have been working over years to stop doing that!)
So yeah, yesterday morning I was lying in bed trying to talk myself through "just a few more minutes" vs "ok time to get up now" and I was really bummed that it's not that easy to fall asleep. Can't we just shuffle the sleep back a bunch of hours? Like fall asleep easily at, say, nine or ten pm and then wake up at 6 or 7 (work times). I mean sure, I know this is partly how it works, I think I'm just wishing that morning "stay sleeping" could be transferred to "bedtime, fall asleep now" you know?
