I Don't Even Think It's The First Time

I was tucking a chair in at my dining room table the other day when there was a clunk.  And there on the chair cushion...seat, was a screw.

My internet searching tells me it was/is a "machine screw" that is "used to join things together" so of course I check the chair itself and while it does have screws holding it together, none are missing and none have the same "head".

Where did this screw come from?????

I had recently bought a phone for my entry buzzer and it came with a wall mount but they don't usually provide a screw and if they do it's usually in a little baggie and this screw was like big.  Like a big ol screw that felt important.

But I have absolutely no idea where it came from or what it's for.

I can't, of course, get RID of the screw because of something falls apart in the near future I need to be able to go AHA!  I have the screw you are missing!  But also... screws just don't fall out... like that's their whole jam... they are... you know, literally SCREWED IN!

Which begs the very large question I currently and still have.  Where the BLEEP did this screw come from and how did it get there and how did it, I assume, roll off my table and land on my chair.

You guys I am so very, very, completely confused and a little bit scared of what might fall apart on me since I have a rogue screw of significant size and girth and no known origin.

It's going in a drawer.  I am confused.

I'll take your wild guesses if you have em!
