Well YAY!

I was first introduced to pomegranates when I was in grade six and I've loved them ever since.

A while back I had to stop eating them as they were too much (acidic? tart?) for my stomach to handle.  It was sad.

Recently (last year, the year before?) I tried one again, hopefully and I'm fine with them again, yay!

Sure, they're pricey, and yes they're quite a lot of work to eat (time consuming for sure) but they're so yummy.

They've not got the longest season though and the pre packaged ones are SO pricey and not all that yummy.

Starting in Fall I kind of keep an eye open for them showing up in grocery stores again and last week I was wandering the produce section when I saw the biggest, most inviting pomegranates ever!  I grabbed two (they were on sale, double bonus!) and put them in my basket and clapped my hands happily as I went on my way.

And that's when I noticed the (ahem, rather handsome) grocery worker person looking at me.  (I was still clapping happily). "It's pomegranate season!" I said, as explanation for my glee.  He smiled "ah, yeah, lots of people really like them."  "I DO!" I said and kept on walking cuz I don't think I really realized that my glee had been externalized but there you have it, YAY it's POMEGRANATE SEASON!!!! (And the first big one I opened took me about 15 minutes to get all the seeds out but I got two cups worth of seeds!  I picked a gooder!!!)
