Oh and I did get a new toaster and it has LEDs! (Which I wasn't expecting and didn't know it had until I plugged it in.)
It also beeps when it's done but I thought I turned that off but then it is back on (maybe because I keep unplugging it to plug in fans) and yeah.

Care to share which model? I'm realizing my current toaster is about as old as my son, and I likely need to replace.
Sure :) Breville "a bit more" (two slice). I got it at the Drugs of London where it was on sale at the time. (Looks like Can Tire has the four slice on sale right now FWIW) ;)
