Don't Close Your Eyes; You'll Miss It All

Spring is made with subtle declarations in this town.

A car littered with cherry blossoms, boys in shorts refusing jackets.

The flip-flops and sandals come out, shoes and socks are banished.

And as much as people here are wont to complain about the rain, we never hesitate to let the sun pull us outside where we can bask; faces upturned and smiling.

I swear, I can almost smell the Coppertone.

Yeah, well Spring stopped by here last week. It got comfy on the sofa, had a few laughs, drank a couple beers... everyone had a great time. But now it looks like Spring skipped out of town for parts unknown and Winter is stopping back for one last brouhaha.

As the saying goes, if you don't like the weather in Illinois, just wait a minute.

Uh oh McGone...maybe you didn't put in an invoice for Long-Term Spring and only for an initial visit? *shrug*

Dilling: I felt a disturbance in the force today and couldn't figure out why I wanted to just stand by the windows and wave at work today! ;)
