Hi

Still no computer.

Begged use of Buddy's laptop while visiting. (Hi Buddy!)

Hope y'all had a good Canada's Birthday and best wishes for the US celebration too.

I've read four books in three days. This is apparently what one does when without a laptop.

The big problem (for me) is finding good books. Ones you want to finish.

I have started so many "so called" good books recently, and not finished them because I hated them.

jPod has been good, but it doesn't really have a story.

The big problem is I read Anna Karenina, and although hard going at first, turned into the best book I have ever read.

Sounds terrible! How are you coping, dear?

Jonathan: It's hard to find good books after reading the classics! I find I usually just have to not read for a while until my brain forgets the excellence!
I really really enjoyed Night Watch though. Not sure it's up your alley but I whipped right through it.

Tyler: I don't have cable! So, essentially, yes, my tv's broken! heh
I haven't felt like watching movies since I just went through two seasons of the most excellent Deadwood. Hence the mega book reading : )

The Ex: I'm.... reading. And... er..... napping? It's funny the computer-related things I find myself missing out doing. Apparently I look up a lot of things when they pop into my head and I'm curious. I've been begging to borrow people's computers to check email and such and now have borrowed a laptop for a few days. I finally get a fix. Now there's just so much to catch up on my brain may re-explode! : )

It seems like I'm always running out of time here but when I go up island to visit my mom (fleeting internet if any), time goes by so slowly! lol

Ofcourse it's worse since I got my laptop last fall because it's my play computer when I'm on my couch as opposed to my "work" computer which is on a proper desk. ;)

So I have a good 50+ unread books on my shelf...

The Night Watch by Sergei Lukyanenko?? Is that the Night Watch you mean? I was looking at it at the bookstore the other day wondering if I wanted to get it. Of course I had (have) at least 20 other books on my shelves, so I didn't get it, yet.

Yvonne, maybe if you leave your computer with me for a while I could accidentally break it so that you can get to reading those books! LOL

Likalia: That's the one! I LOVED it, but that's right up my alley anyway : )
