I Had To


Saying what you mean is difficult.

Especially if saying it means you won't get something you want.

Or think you want.

Saying the difficult thing is worse.

Especially if saying it means you're killing what feels like the last chance at something you want.

Saying what the other person needs to hear rather than what you want them to hear is heartbreaking.

Especially if saying it means you may never get over wondering what might have been if only you hadn't said it.

Saying what the truth is rather than what you wish the truth was, is sad.

Especially when it means saying goodbye.
