I'm in a library for the first time in a long time, (it's a long story.)
(OK, it's not a long story, it just involves the fact that there's no easily accessible library near to my place and I like owning my own, fresh smelling books. I'm weird that way)
So anyway, I'm sitting here in this library and holy, people, do you have any idea how many books they have in here? And how many of them I want to read? And could? FOR FREE?
I'm a little overwhelmed. This must be how I felt as a kid the first time I walked into one of these things; it's like a miracle.
FREE BOOKS!

lol - I feel exactly the same way about books. I recently went into the library as well and had similar thoughts. Then reality stepped back in and reminded me that while they might be free to read, you can't keep them. :(
Still I love going into libraries and looking at all the books (or book stores). One day I'll have my own library I hope. :)
Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of the "can't keep them" part myself ;)
Mmm, fresh book smell! Can I tell you a shameful secret that I'd rather not divulge on my own blog? Every time I walk into Chapters and take a deep inhale of that fresh book smell, I have to go. To the bathroom. You know? It took me a long time to figure out why. But I eventually realized that it's probably because I did so much reading on the toilet as a kid. It was the only place in the house I could read uninterrupted! I feel much better for having relieved myself of my secret. Pun intended ;)
I'm with a library but the lure of having brand new books that you can keep, keeps calling out to me. I only go if the books I want are too expensive and hard to find.
EB, that is the best secret ever! (Nice pun too, wooo hooo!)
Leetid, I also don't like the pressure of having to return them in a certain time. I mean, sure, I can probably read it that quickly, and sure, I know I could renew them but it's not the same reading with pressure! :)
I love libraries! I read way too much too fast to buy all of the books I read. They'd end up taking over my apartment in no time. And my shoe collection is already monopolizing the available storage space.
Heh. I buy em and then sell the ones I didn't wanna keep to buy more! (It's not an addiction, I swear) ;)
