Lucky

With the exception of a year I spent near Oxford England, I've lived all my life within walking distance of the ocean.

What about you?

Is there anything you've always lived near and can't quite imagining living away from?

Or maybe a something you've always lived with? (Cat, dog, etc.)

What I cannot live with is the mountains. Spent a week in Edmonton with my band class one year in highschool and we went nuts when we saw the Rockies on the way home. Even now, I live on one and work between two.

the ocean and my dogs - can't image life without them

In my whole life, I have never lived anywhere that I couldn't hear trains, thankfully always in the distance. I can't imagine living somewhere without the occasional long, lonesome whistle, especially in the evenings.

Kathryn, sounds like a perfect combo!

Bunny, I know that sound :)

Pink and purple sky!! In Oklahoma we get the best pink and purple sky at sunset every night. I don't know if other places get this, but I hear we are pretty lucky to see it. Or the storm and tornado season which is actually the current season. I wonder what it would be like to not have constant thunderstorms for like a month straight every spring. Tornadoes could leave, but I love my thunderstorms. Plus I can't imagine living without a cat.

LSG, we get some pretty pink and purple skies here, but usually just for a month or so in Fall. Sounds like you live in the perfect place for you! Well, minus the tornadoes ;)

I'm going to buck the trend here. I can't think of anything I've always had, and found comforting.

Perhaps I could say that I've always sought others...

Cool. So you could live anywhere then :)
