I know I've already posted today and so you can count this as a Sunday post if you'd like, but since I don't really post on Sundays and Monday is a holiday (here) this can be my Monday post or whatever, but aaaaaaanyway the point is that I just came back from seeing Star Trek and LOVED IT!
LOVED!

Envious!! We're going next weekend and I can hardly wait!
I would love to go see it, but the chances (at the moment) are pretty much nil - unless I go on my own for a late showing.
It was excellent, wasn't it? :D
Angella, I hope you totally enjoy it!
Jonathan, you'll get to see it eventually ;)
Likalia, it was! :D
I watched it with some co-workers on Friday. Having not seen (or been interested in seeing) a Star Trek film in many, many years, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of writing and direction. The handling of the prequel story was a genius move for a studio interested in starting a new franchise. I also learned how to say Star Trek in Mandarin, but had forgotten by the end of the film.
How much like the old guff was it? 'cos I hated that with a passion... that includes the 60's cheese, Voyager, The Next Generation and Enterprise.
So if it was nothing like that, I might go and see it.
Oh, and if you see Tom Hanks tell him he owes me £15. I just saw Angels and Demons and I wasn't impressed... :-(
Jim, it was fun, eh? :D
Mark, I don't know what you didn't like, so can't tell you how much if it was there! ;)
But I do promise if I see Tom, I'll tell him :)
Haha... fair play.
Cheers Vic :-)
:)
I'm with you Vic, I very much enjoyed the Star Trek movie. Very well done, and do plan to buy it when it comes out. And there's a good chance that i'd see it again in theaters if someone wanted to see it!!
And Mark, I COMPLETELY agree with you about Angels & Demons. The story was very butchered from the book, which I couldnt put down!! So many things missing and/or changed, I almost thought someone took the name of some of the characters and the title and wrote their own story.
Yay Star Trek!
And, apparently, Boo to A&D.
