Just me. Thinking thoughts, living life, figuring it out as I go along.
And, no, I don't really know what I'm talking about.

Question
For those of you who enjoy getting up in the morning (something I very much do not) have you always been like that or did you grow into it or what?
Tricks of the trade perhaps?

As a kid I strongly disliked getting up in the morning. It wasn't until University that I figured out a strategy that worked...if I picked out the outfit I was going to wear and made sure I had a yummy breakfast to eat I would get up the first time my alarm went off. I went so far as to make omlettes the night before that I just had to heat up in 30 seconds. Years later it still gets my butt out of bed to head to work :)
Somehow I used to be able to get up right away in the mornings and I was always an early riser, but once I went to university and started drinking all that changed...now I have trouble getting up and I'm always late for work (thank God for the flexible hours!).
If you find a technique that works, please share it!
It's hereditary...I have my highest point of energy first thing in the morning but that is rare. It's hard to change your internal clock and it's not fair that society caters to most people being early morning risers. I like it, but most would agree starting work at say 10am and working until later in the evening would be a better use of their energy.
i HATE getting up before 10a. since my means to funds does not allow that, i have learned that a little pill called melatonin around 10p @ night helps you go to sleep and stay asleep without the groggy side effects most over the counter drugs give you the following day. i still need a caffeine jolt around lunch time, but once i got into this habit, i became a regular early bird! also, having a great pillow helps. i read somewhere that the breathing helps your body rest more and get as much rejuvenation possible, even if you do not get the full 8 hours needed.

Anonymous, I do that too, the clothes and such :)
SSV, I don't think I've ever been an early riser, but yeah, if I find anything that works, I'll let you know!
Anonymous, what if we started work later and got off at the same time! ;) (I can always dream right?)

hmmm... i'll look into that! :)
funny I grew out of it =] lol
Heh
Ugh I hate it too. I'm going to start doing the clothes thing.
I lay as much as possible out the night before, clothes, lunch, makeup, anything that'll let me think less and sleep more in the morning!
