Sometimes I look at myself in my mirror and I think I'm ugly.
Sometimes I look at myself in my mirror and I think I'm ok.
And sometimes, I look at myself in my mirror and I think I'm hot.
I think it has something to do with my hair, and how clean it is, or maybe just my bangs. But that maybe only makes sense to me.
But it weirds me out that I'm always the same, physical person, but how I see myself changes, sometimes drastically and dramatically and I feel like it shouldn't.
So, I'm wondering, am I the only one who goes through this? Or do we all see ourselves as hot/attractive one day and less so another day?
Or are there any of you out there who genuinely think you're good looking all the time? And if so, where'd you get your confidence?

I go through the exact same emotions when looking in the mirror. And lately, when I see a picture of myself I want to just cringe and vomit (perhaps at the same time). I am so not photogenic and people tell me I am better looking in real life, but looking at pictures is different than looking in the mirror. Some days I just try to avoid the mirror all together. I can tell you this, 99% of the time we are MUCH harder on ourselves than others are on us.
So, keep your chin up and smile. I'll do the same over here!
Best,

Yes, ma'am, AmericanBridget!
I get crazy razzled when I hear my gorgeously cute friends complain about their looks, but then I realize that I do the exact same things sometimes. A lot of it has to do with our hair (I know that each strand in my head has its own goddamn stubborn personality) or how clear our skin happens to be that day, or the bloating.
Ohhh goddd the bloating.
But I think everyone can be and is beautiful with just a tad of cosmetic help, and a smiling attitude :)
Girl, yes! I feel the same way! Some days, I feel so ugly that I just try not to even look in the mirror. Then, sometimes, I feel so hot that I pity anyone that has to deal with me that day. Haha!
And while I know that when my hair is fixed up nice, it makes me feel better...there are days that when I wake up with bed head and no makeup that I feel so sexy. Weird how that works...
I very rarely like the way I look in photos, if that counts.
My kitten still loves me even on the bad days, so it's all ok really :)
it can happen for me between home and work. i look in the mirror at home and think i look good and by the time i get to work i'm wondering how i got to look the way i do. can the lighting really be that different. agreed that hair (and make-up) has a lot to do with how we feel. i try to dress up because it makes me think i look better. there is something in vancouver called blo where you can get your hair blown out (a la' jessica simpson). i suggest it if you need a pick me up and be sure to take a couple photos to remind you just how good you look!
Ok, Bridget, I'll keep my chin up if you will...because yes, we're probably harsher on ourselves than anyone else.
Mizkay, I wish we could all just collectively suddenly see ourselves as beautiful as we are... :)
So glad I'm not alone Kimmie!
Photos are hard, eh Dominic? Maybe only models like how they look in photos? Glad to hear your kitten is always a fan though :)
I'll look into a blow out Anon, I just would have no idea what I'd look like! ;)
I look like a caveman most mornings, and know I look like a caveman most mornings.
You on the other hand exist in my mind's eye, and are lovely :)
I think I'm too tired to notice what I look like in the mornings! ;)
