Play Along At Home!

(Seriously, sometimes I don't know where my mind comes up with these things!)

Close your eyes.

Reach out your left hand and touch something, and wave your right arm around in the air and point to something.

Open your eyes.

Whatever your left hand is touching, put that colour with the name of the thing you're pointing to and it's the title of your first novel, which will, of course, be a bestseller!

Mine?

"Blue Fan."

It's about a girl who follows a group of extreme surfers around the world, documenting their lives, secretly in love with one of them, who, of course, doesn't notice her, and then she ends up murdering him and being in a relationship with the guy's grieving girlfriend.

I have no idea what I'm talking about and it's awesome!

What's your book called?

Name tag...?

Uhhh.. It's about a girl who begins working in a new office building, where she is issued with a name tag... that just happens to be haunted. Every night, as she falls asleep, the tag hovers over her face trying to figure out how best to choke her without waking her up.

That ranks somewhere at the top of the List of Weirdest Things to have Ever Left My Mouth. Haha!

It's hard to tell.. pointing can be so inaccurate.

It's either "Red book" (which is technically already taken by Lord of the Rings) or "Red leopard", since it was sitting on top of the books.

Beware of the leopard!

Yamuna, I am totally buying that book!!! :D

I think it was probably Red Leopard Dominic. Which, really it turns out the leopard is not evil/bad, just misunderstood and ends up getting tamed by a young street urchin of course.

ah ... mine would be Morris Blue?

left hand touched the back of the sofa which has a Wm Morris upholstery (pattern name long gone from my memory) and my right hand pointed up to the top shelf of a bookcase which has, fronting a double row of books 2 Labatts Blue bottles ... found on sale here! but just once ...
the storyline? perhaps a Canadian man desperately searching for a harmonica once used by BoB Dylan ... he ends up in St Louis where he falls into a swamp ???
must apologise, I have Dylan's Tempest on constant play here ...

Haha! This is fun.

My book is 'Green Wall'.

About a girl who often forgets that the color of the walls in her house are a tint of green. But somewhere in the climax, she reads a blog post 'play along at home', and her left hand touches the green wall. Now, she will never forget that the walls in her house are green!!! Happy Ending!
