Derp

I've been making my way through a book that I think is giving me nightmares.  Fun, right?

See, I do most of my reading in bed at night... if I try to read on my couch during the day, I tend to get super sleepy and just end up napping, but ironically I have been known to read for hours at night, in my bed... Go figure.

So, this book, called John Dies at the End (since I'm not keeping track of my books here anymore) was highly recommended and has been turned into a movie I guess, and so I got myself a copy and the first chunk of it has seriously given me anxiety while I'm reading it!  This.... never happens with books.... so it's maybe just where I'm at right now or who knows.  I thought about stopping reading it but... you know me... hardly ever stop a book.  Sigh.

I'm hoping the story is a little less freak-inducing as it goes on, but so far, I'm not really seeing why it was so highly recommended?  Or maybe I just wasn't paying attention and it was recommended in some "what books keep you up at night" forum or something.

Le sigh.

It's hard to break that need to complete books, even if they're bad.

I have a small stack of books I'm part way through, that are not good books, but I keep thinking I'll get back to them eventually (Fifty Shades of Grey, I'm looking at you with disapproving eyes). And, disturbingly, the pile is mostly books recommended to me by other people.

Hmm.

Except Feed. Damn, that was a good recommendation.
