This shouldn't annoy me but it does!
For my birthday I was given a gift card to a local used book store. YAY BOOKS!
I didn't have anything particular in mind so I just browsed and I came across an author's name "Coey Doctorow" and I knew I had read a book (or two?) by him before (he's a prolific writer I can't remember what I read) and liked it enough so I picked this one up and am currently reading it.
It's a standard fiction novel and when I was putting it away the other night I looked at the price tag on the back and this book store had it labelled as "science fiction" which is probably the section I picked it out of. He is *known* as a science fiction author but this book is not.
I mean unless there's some bizarre twist coming (but I don't think so seeing as I'm mid way through the book and have a sense of where it's going to go) they have mis labelled this book and I am kind of irrationally irritated by that?
I mean is there a point in me letting them know "you put this book in the wrong genre" when I've already bought it and am enjoying it? Not really. Do I plan on selling the book once I'm done? Probably not. But I might take the WRONG LABEL off of it before I give it away or whatever, but yeah, I'm annoyed at the mislabel, but can also understand why I think it happened. (When you google him "science fiction author" comes up so....)

There may be that 'bizarre twist' in the last few pages that are not cheat pages but do make sense of it. Do not read sci-fi myself.
