We're in that strange space between snow covered everything and "no evidence of snow".
It's raining, which melts/washes away the snow. But when you have a heavy fall like we did it's not all that quick.
Like on my parking area where they plowed at some point and some people drove (and it was a skating rink yesterday) it's wet pavement for the most part. But the little bit of the side street I can see is still snowy (mush?)
My debate today is if I try to walk to the library or not. Sidewalks are cleared in various states and the ones that aren't down to pavement will be slushy or slippery or puddle-y or snowy. Honestly, as I type it out it's kind of like, yeah.. no. BUT. That means no book for me til Tuesday! (GASP!) I know that isn't a major emergency but reading in bed is how I get sleepy enough to fall asleep! I love me a good book! And yes, I have books here I could start but I have one waiting in the library for pick up.
It's a matter of doing it today or waiting til Tuesday. Hmmmm....
I bet if I put on my boots and such and head outside for a walk around my building it'll make up my mind. And the library's only open for a few hours today so I'm not sure it's going to happen....
When I was thinking about it yesterday (when the hold notice came in) I thought it might just be slippery (yesterday the libraries were closed due to the ice) but I hadn't considered the puddles that will be out there today. Hmmm... maybe I'm waiting til Tuesday after all?
Anyhow, happy Eve if that's your thing. Hoping my friends out East are ok and that my friends here are staying dry and unflooded. Is that a word? Un... flood... filled. You know what I mean!
