Sorry!

I had intended to write this weekend but I spent ALL weekend online trying to help folks (online) who were dealing with Burning Man getting a whole lot of rain.  It was... wow, a lot.

The long and short of it is that people are fine.  Everyone I know who went this year is fine, and actually better than fine.  Most of us who've been going for a while (or used to go at least) know to prepare for adverse conditions, rain included.  We always tell folks to pack extra food, water and clothes in case this happens.  We know what to bring and we truck it back and forth every damn year even though it hardly ever rains.  Except when it does!

The news went bonkers with stories... rumours went wild.  But the organizers have plans for all sorts of things and those plans went into action and I think if people hadn't panicked things would have been a lot easier for them (and for others)

I am not going to get into details right now as I've got to get ready for YOU KNOW WHAT in the morning and how do "short" weeks always end up being longer, am I right?

So yeah... my writing time was eaten up with trying to keep information flowing for folks with limited access to the internet.
