I was joking in a conversation with Jason the other day and I said "and I'd just ask them 'Do you know who I am?'" and he looked at me and said, no, don't ever say that.
Well, duh, I wouldn't ever say that, it was part of the joke, but this morning I was thinking about the conversation and wondering when/if ever I would actually say that... "do you know who I am?"
And the only time I can ever imagine myself actually saying that is in some random case where someone was looking at a group of people and being like Ok Bob Smith, you can go in, and Sarah Jones, you can go it and then looking at me and I'd be "do you know who I am?" as in... do you know my name or do I need to tell it to you so you can check it? You know, like an awkward kind of "you seem to know everyone else do you know me?" sort of thing.
I can't imagine feeling so self important that I'd assume anyone knew me, and I can't imagine why knowing me would be important enough for me to use it as a... thing?
But anyway... another random thought from my random mind!
