We've had an absolutely lovely November, which has meant a lot of sunny days and yes I'm sure we're also in a drought but I think we're all just maybe kind of ignoring that because SUNSHINE during the day helps a lot with the winter drearies and the short short days. But anyway, all this to say it's been lovely and sunny this month. Which has meant I've often driven home (during the mid day) from work with a window open.
Which brings me past the preamble to the body of this post.
I was driving along, nearly home, and had my window down as did the car in front of me. And how do I know the car in front of me also had their window open, you may ask? Well, the smoke from their joint or whatever form of ma ra ja wannas they were smoking was flowing strongly enough into my window (we were stopped at the time of this complaint) that I felt like I was getting high off of their second hand smoke.
Sure, MJs legal in Canada these days but I'm pretty damn sure you're not allowed to smoke up while driving. Like, if I can't crack a beer while driving, you can't crack your joint, you know?
(I just googled and the driving law said "generally not allowed" so I mean WHATEVER MY POINT STANDS)
So as I was feeling rather annoyed by this I noticed that there was a dog in the back seat of the car and sure, the window was open back there but like animals can't consent to getting high and so not only was this person getting high while driving (which didn't impress me) they were also forcing their animal to inhale smoke that the animal lungs and system probably don't need or want to inhale. So I was doubly not impressed.
So anyway, that's my rant for today.... maybe don't smoke out your pet and maybe save your smoking til you're at your destination rather than while you're actively driving, eh?
