I know that this can be a spendy time of year and I do try to manage that but when I went to check my credit card balance (on my home accounting program) I was absolutely BLOWN away, it was thousands and thousands of dollars more than I thought it should be.
Maybe I'd missed my last payment.... nope, that was there. Well what on earth was going on then?
I try to approximately track my spending on a piece of paper next to my couch on TOP of tracking it in this program, how had I missed spending all this money?
Well, as it turns out, I had typed in 3,145.00 instead of 31.45 at one store, PHEW!
So yeah, I'm not thousands of dollars over what I thought I was, I just had a slippery finger or five! Thank Goodness! Yikes.
