So, turns out dude's really not big on Link.
Apparently he doesn't want people thinking he's a neanderthal. Or something. And really, to be fair, he does walk upright and can carry a conversation. (Unless I call too late and wake him up. Then it's pretty damn funny.)
I've told him if he's not good with what y'all came up with, then he'll have to come up with his own name.
He said he still likes "That Guy."
I'll give him another day or so.
And if he doesn't come up with anything? Well, then I'll choose. I'll claim artistic license and freedom of speech and stuff.
Until then? Keep on voting! Or... choosing. Or, whatever it is you're doing!

Do we get any more info about TG? Or are we just winging it here? I always find it is easier to find nicknames for people when I know more about them - and I say this with a full appreciation of your right to privacy.
TSG: You have a fair point. It's not that I'm trying to be private as much as it is I don't know where to start. : ) He's tall, dark and handsome?

Link is such a good name though - he isn't even very neanderthalish (is that a word??) by the end of the movie. He's all cute and with his cave girl. :)
Does he live in a city that would lend its name well to him? ie: Halifax and I had a great time at the movies the other night. (hmm, perhaps the coffee hasn't kicked in enough this morning...)

K you might be crazy but I am such a loser without a life of my own I was thinking about the name thing at lunch and whay about Guy. It is an actual name and is part of that guy.
Anyway that is enough from me - I need to get my own life now.

And, no, Brendan Fraser was nothing but cute in that movie. So cute, in fact that a year after that came out I was visiting Austin, Texas and I saw him in a restaurant. I didn't want to bug him so now I have a blurry photo of Brendan Fraser leaving a restaurant. *dreamy sigh*
I'm going to point that out to (insert name here) "Link" was cute. Not dumb.

Or at least as many as you can think of. Which may be only 1 depending on a person's imagination. But still.. solid name. Peter. Petros. The Rock. Oooooh.. The Rock! I actually think he's a pretty good actor. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Look what he did with a name like Dwayne. Played football for the Calgary Stampeders too. Hmmm.... Dwayne? ;)
Well you could tell him you were thinking of F.A.G. That migt get him to suddenly think that Link is a marvellous name ;)
