I Bought Them As A Treat

But I think I have to admit it.

Frosted Flakes are way too sweet.

I never thought I'd hear me say that, but, well, last night was my third day of having a bowl after dinner, before bed and each time my brain just kind of goes "DUDE! That's, like, way too sweet to be good man."

Which is funny, because I only bought a big box because the small camping size boxes came with a bunch of other cereals I didn't want. Now I'm going to just end up chucking the rest of the big box.

Too sweet. Never thought I'd hear myself say that.

Seriously.

I usually mix mine with other bran flakes. Tones down the sweetness and helps it last a little longer.

If you cannot eat them now, search online for recipes that use them. You may be able to find a new 'treat' you'll love!

I think the first and last time I had frosted flakes was about a decade ago and I recall themm being so sweet I couldn't eat them...I never checked out the ingredients list but I bet if you did, you'de find then shockingly high in sodium as well!! Most boxed cereal should be catagorized as poison.

I wenr years having plain yogurt wit a cut-up peach or banana or local blackberries. If i was having it for dessert, I'd have honey with it. YUM!

Lately for breakfast Ive been having Quaker rolled oats. A big bag at Thrifty's is on sale for $5.99! It takes no more than a 3 minues to prepare AND it is totally customizable for your taste-of-the -moment!! I've been doing it with raisins (cooked with the oats so they get warm and plump!), milk optional, sugar or honey optional.

I reccommend you give it a go!

We grew up with porridge, but it's always a salty thing!

And I'm not a cereal for breakfast person anyway ;)
