Just Me?

One thing I always think when I'm watching tv shows is that I must really under-dress at home.

I mean, like, as soon as I'm home for the day, I can't wait to get out of my clothes, especially out of my bra and undies, and showered and into something comfy.  Namely pjs for the cooler months, and a sarong wrap for the warm months.

In tv shows, they always seem to just be sitting around their house in their clothes.  Or, rarely, really nice pjs.  But, like, nice clothes.  Regular clothes.

Does everyone do this?  Or just for tv?

Maybe I'm the abnormal one here.

The family must be abnormal too. We all get changed from work clothes into something comfy (my office is a manufacturing plant, so I often wear jeans, and I still change into shorts or lounge pants).

Either we are abnormal too, or TV is a skewed reality. I'm going with TV is a skewed reality.

Usually, I don't change. (I might go so far as removing socks.)

But lately it's been so damn hot I've been taking off darn near everything when I get through the door.

I never change my clothes once I am in the house. You never know who might ring the bell or if you need to run out and get the mail, a litre of milk or take the dog for a quick walk. Plus, I like my outfits -- they're cute :)

The on that always gets me is that women on tv wear bras and make-up to bed. Who does that?

What, Elliott? TV not real? Pshaw!

Fair enough D. Heat'll have that affect on ya!

I wonder if it's different when you're in an apartment vs a house Laura, like maybe an apartment gives you more warning? :)

Or, Kandi, when they wake up still in their pretty darn perfect makeup!? lol Or they wake up with one blink!

I find it depends what mood I'm in. Now with the cold weather, I like to get into comfy track suits or pyjamas when I'm home. Having said that though, they are nice (as nice as PJs and trackies can be) - by that I mean, the ones without holes or bleach stains and everything coordinates. I just feel better that way.

The thing I find weird on TV - when couples kiss first thing in the morning when they wake up. It's a lovely idea - but not realistic.

That's SO TRUE! Like, I'll maybe give you a quick, closed mouth kiss, but most of the time? It ain't fun in the mornings! lol
