While I am most definitely (that word never spells right even when it does) grateful for all the choices of gluten free food items there are out there nowadays, I feel the need to make this (whiny) statement.
Gluten free items (bread, pasta, etc.)
do
not
taste
the
same.
They do not taste as good as the gluten full items do. They just don't. And sometimes (like right now) it's poopy.
Poopy poopy poopy.
*pout*

Our eldest daughter is Coeliac. I need to show her this. She will become your biggest fan.
Agreed on most store-bought stuff but I've had home-made (not my home!) gluten-free brownies that were amazing. Never would have guessed had I not been told!
Then the two of us shall pout together Jonathan! (Although in Canada we don't quite spell it the same) ;)
You're right Yvonne, people can make home made stuff that's quite lovely :)
I have been gluten-free for years. Over here we have Genius gluten-free bread which is the best of a bad lot ... if it is any consolation it (gluten free bread) usually tastes better / more bearable toasted.
There are some dedicate gluten free site with recipes ...
Cdn Anne in England eating rice cakes
