We Change. Or At Least I Do.

A jet just flew past.  Part of a thing, you know... a thing.

And while there's a small part of me that goes "cool" (like I used to when I was younger), the bigger part of me goes "thank goodness I don't live somewhere where this is common" (like some of the US towns I've driven through.)  And another part of me that has less than positive thoughts about jets and things...

But yeah, glad (again) to live where I do for many reasons.

We live just north of Lake Ontario about 125km east of Pearson International, so we are in the approach path for jets from Europe and jets heading to Europe. It's been so much quieter overhead since covid started. The air traffic is starting to pick up a bit to the point where we hear a jet or two a day down from 30 or 40 a day pre-covid. It's very odd to hear the jets again after such a long period of silence.

They are usually just starting their approach, so it's not like they are low...but depending on weather conditions we could still notice them (if that makes sense).

I remember how silent the skies were at the very start of lockdown, interesting that you're still seeing and hearing a difference!

(And I should have clarified, this was a CF-18 so very loud and very low!) ;)

LOL...we get those sometimes too. And Hercules and Galaxy returning from the Afghanistan and other parts of the world. CFB Trenton is not far from here either.

The fighter jets are certainly loud as the rip down the shoreline of Lake Ontario.
